The Hornet's Geocaching page

OpencachingUK

All my caches are now listed on OpencachingUK  Although basic information was listed on Geocaching.com, Groundspeak summarily archived all my caches as I provided links to Terracaching.com on the listings. I was not given the chance to make any changes to make them "compliant" so rather than let them "die" I thought I'd list links to them here.

I have decided to provide a handy link for those who primarily use Geocaching.com but all the details can be found by following the appropriate Opencaching link above. Although the Terracaching and Geocaching.com listings are archived you can still log your finds there if you want to. In particular, all the intermediate waypoints and hints are to be found on the Terracaching pages. Published coordinates for multi-caches on GC continue to point to the starting point for the relevant cache. Once you have found a cache, please feel free to log the Geocaching.com version if you want your "smiley" but I would ask you to log it on the relevant Opencaching page as well.

This page was originally provided by Lactodorum as an aid to cachers in the UK and Ireland. It was developed when Lactodorum was employed as a volunteer Reviewer/Moderator by Groundspeak.

In April 2008 , after a disagreement with a small group of American based reviewers and certain employees within Groundspeak about how caches in the UK should be managed and the UK forum moderated Lactodorum resigned his position.  This forum post will perhaps give some explanation. At the same time another UK reviewer, Eckington, also resigned and his comments can be seen here . As Lactodorum is no longer involved in the "business" side of caching I have decided to remove this facility to allow the new team to develop their own resource.

If you have any questions about caching in the UK either post them on the GAGB forum
